PREMIUM CABIN CONCEPT: ALLEGRIS

Lufthansa passengers travelling between Toronto and Frankfurt can now experience the airline’s new premium cabin concept, Allegris. The first Allegris flight between the two cities took off Oct. 9 with the airline’s new Dreamliner. Allegris flew its inaugural flight to Vancouver in May 2024.

With Allegris, passengers enjoy an exclusive and personalized experience across all classes, innovative seating concepts, high-quality materials and state-of-the-art technology. The airline says the new Allegris seating concept has proved extremely popular, with more than half a million passengers in all classes already experiencing the new cabin, and with 90% providing positive feedback.

STRONG SUMMER 2025 FROM CANADA & LOOKING AHEAD TO 2026

This past summer was a particularly strong one for Lufthansa Group. For summer 2025, the group added two new direct routes to its network: Halifax – Zurich with Edelweiss; and Calgary – Munich with Discover Airlines.

Overall the Lufthansa Group carriers served five Canadian gateways this past summer – Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and Halifax – with 87 weekly flights from Canada to various hubs in Europe.

Meanwhile Lufthansa Group Airlines flights are now available for booking for summer 2026. Next summer’s schedule includes new intercontinental and European destinations as well as numerous frequency increases for Lufthansa Airlines, Discover Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines, Brussels Airlines, Edelweiss, and ITA Airways.

Globally the Lufthansa Group airlines now offer their guests over 14,000 weekly connections to 330 destinations in around 100 countries via their hubs in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, and Italy.

Discover Airlines is the quality leisure airline of Lufthansa Group, “meaning we’re a fully integrated airline of Lufthansa Group, and we fly our travellers via our hubs Frankfurt and Munich to around 60 of the most beautiful destinations worldwide, two of them being here in Canada,” said the Discover Airlines team at yesterday’s event.

So far Discover Airlines has flown over 11 million passengers, “and this year we’re going to hit the 4 million mark.”
