Another blast of winter weather impacting air travel for many Canadian travellers

TORONTO — A wallop of winter weather is impacting air travel from the Prairies to Newfoundland to Ontario.

At Pearson Airport in Toronto, the departures board this morning was already riddled with many delays and some cancellations. The arrivals board wasn’t faring much better. It was a similar situation at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.

Earlier this morning Toronto Pearson said its Central Deicing Facility is fully operational. “Traffic Management Initiatives are also in place to help ensure aircraft can move safely and efficiently throughout the day,” said Toronto Pearson in its 7:30 a.m. post, before the worst of the weather moved in.
