CLEANUP MODE

With airlines still in recovery mode at Pearson Airport – but with the flow of arrivals and departures much improved – Pearson posted this update on X this morning: “Crews worked throughout the day yesterday, clearing snow as part of ongoing efforts to restore operations as quickly and safely as possible following Sunday’s snowstorm. Today we’re planning for 853 flights, including 427 arrivals from 46 countries and 426 departures to 49 countries.”

Pearson reminded passengers to continue checking their flight status directly with their airline “as carriers work to return to normal operations.”

Pearson’s airport duty manager Andre Nadeau told CP24 that “for us here in Toronto, it’s still cleanup mode [from the storm]. St. John’s (YYT) is the one that’s really going to be impacted today. It’s moving out of PEI and Nova Scotia this morning.”
