Air Canada wraps up 2025 with ’12 Days of Holiday Cheer’ video highlighting major milestones

MONTREAL — Air Canada is closing out 2025 with its annual “12 Days of Holiday Cheer,” spotlighting a year marked by network growth, product enhancements and major milestones across the airline and its partners.

The airline’s 12 Days of Cheer video captures 12 major milestones and highlights from the year, from new routes to global awards and product offerings.

The 12 Days of Cheer are as follows: 

  • 12 (+1) new routes to Latin America: Air Canada expanded its Latin America schedule with four new destinations, 13 new routes and a 16% increase in capacity heading into winter.
  • 11 =6years of 5 stars at the APEX Awards: The carrier was once again recognized with a Five Star Global Airline Award at the 2026 APEX Awards. APEX also named its Bell-sponsored onboard Wi-Fi the Best Inflight Connectivity, based on more than one million customer votes.
  • 10 million Aeroplan Members: Aeroplan reached a historic membership milestone and added new partnerships designed to broaden earning and redemption opportunities.
  • 9 hundred pieces of eGSE equipment: Air Canada now operates Québec City as its first fully electric ground-support-equipment station, transitioning all main GSE categories to electric alternatives.
  • 8 Dreams Take Flight trips: More than a thousand children across Canada travelled to Florida and California theme parks in 2025 through Dreams Take Flight, supported by Air Canada and the Air Canada Foundation.
  • 7 new international destinations announced for 2026: The airline launched 12 new international routes in 2025, including Manila, and announced seven more for 2026 such as Montréal–Berlin, Montréal–Palma de Mallorca and Toronto–Ponta Delgada.
  • 6+ choices of premium snacks on-board: Complimentary beer, wine and Canadian-made snacks are now available to all Economy customers on all flights, including sun routes. New additions this year include MadeGood Mornings Cinnamon Bun Soft Baked Oat Bars and Greenhouse Ginger Defence Wellness Shots.
  • 5 decades of Air Canada Vacations: Air Canada Vacations marked five decades of operations in 2025.
  • 4 awards for company culture: Air Canada collected multiple honours, including Canada’s Best Diversity Employers, Montréal’s Top Employers, and Canada’s Top Employers for Young People. Its Unlock the Best in You (UBY) wellness program also earned global recognition.
  • 3x in the Top 3 of Cirium’s On-Time Performance Among North American Carriers Monthly report: Air Canada delivered one of its strongest on-time-performances (OTP) in 2025, improving by three percentage points compared to 2024 and ranking in the Top 3 for three months.
  • 2 new Air Canada Café openings: New domestic-side Air Canada Cafés opened in Montréal and Vancouver, offering grab-and-go menus and work-friendly spaces.
  • #1 Best Airline in North America at the Skytrax Awards: Air Canada was named Best Airline in North America at the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards, with additional honours for Signature Suite dining, cabin crew, onboard catering and Air Canada Rouge.
