Air Canada executives celebrate the launch of Toronto-Prague service on June 6 at Toronto Pearson International Airport

Air Canada launches new route from Toronto to Prague

MONTREAL — Air Canada has officially launched its latest European route, with the inaugural flight from Toronto to Prague departing June 6 and arriving in the Czech capital the following day.

The flight marked the airline’s return to Prague and its newest Europe route launched as part of its summer season. Said Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer and President, Cargo: “Our flights connect two countries, facilitating travel, tourism and trade. We design routes like this one to appeal to our customers throughout our North American network, with convenient travel options at our Toronto hub. Whether people are visiting family and friends in Prague, exploring its celebrated architecture, bohemian history and rich culture, or customers from Central Europe visiting and exploring Canada from coast to coast, our flights make discovering all that our two countries offer easier than ever.”

The new non-stop service operates three times weekly, with flights departing Toronto on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and returning from Prague on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. The seasonal service runs through Sept. 29, 2025. Flights are operated with Airbus A330-300 aircraft, featuring Economy, Premium Economy and Air Canada Signature Class. Travellers in Signature Class benefit from lie-flat seats, fine cuisine, extra baggage allowance and access to priority airport services.

The Prague route is part of Air Canada’s broader expansion into Europe this summer. The airline recently launched service from Montreal to Porto and Naples, and resumed service between Ottawa and London Heathrow in April. Later this month, the carrier will also inaugurate flights between Montreal and Edinburgh.
