African Travel launches ‘Why Safari’ campaign, webinar series

TORONTO —  African Travel Inc. has launched a new ‘Why Safari’ campaign and webinar series that includes marketing tools for travel agents.

Travel advisors can access African Travel Inc.’s new customizable Travel Planning Guide with their logo and contact details.

The luxury safari outfitter is also highlighting all the reasons to visit Africa in a new webinar series running through August 2022. The first webinar takes place today, Tues. May 10, and focuses on Family Safaris. Webinars start at 1 p.m. EDT. The webinar schedule is here.

Advisors and their clients are invited to spend 15 minutes with Africa Travel’s experts to learn about safaris and planning tips for different styles of travel, says African Travel’s President, Sherwin Banda.

Banda says the goal is to share why an African safari needs to move from bucket list to reality – and to arm travel advisors with the right tools to inspire clients and sell the destination.

“Like the stripes of a zebra no two clients are the same. That is why we launched our popular summer webinar series to help advisors find the right Africa for each client’s unique travel style,” says Banda.

“We will share the next great adventures, experiences beyond the jeep and what’s new in 2023 as well as provide ideas for some of our fastest growing segments including families and those wanting to celebrate a big occasion or honeymoon,” he added.

The webinar series is available both live and on demand. Attendees who register and book a safari after the webinar can take advantage of some value-add experiences, including like elephant encounters for families.

There’s also a ‘Why Safari’ digital page page with information for planning safaris, highlights aboutwhat makes a safari unique, and FAQs. Clients and agents can also learn about immersive wildlife experiences, wellness safaris and unique lodges and camps.

Meanwhile the company’s new Travel Planning Guide is customizable with an advisor’s logo and contact details. The guide serves as a reference tool for advisors, with information on the value of a safari and destination guides with a video, seasonal calendar, and top experiences.

For advisors who have completed the African Travel Academy and are African Travel Specialists, there are additional infographics, social posts, blog content, and marketing assets.

“After years of restricted travel globally, everyone is asking what’s next and where next?” says Banda. “Travellers want to make up for lost time and are looking at making their dream list a reality. Africa is naturally on the top of this list, but we must do more to move it to a place they visit now.”

He added: “At the beginning of the year we launched our ideas for Africa’s “Greatest of All Trips” GOAT safaris. We realized we can’t just share experiences; we have to show why Africa is a good investment.”
