What do agents look for in a host agency? “Trust, consistent support, training, web tools, strong commissions & preferred partners, and the Transat Travel Agent@Home program offers all of the above and much more,” says Agent@Home’s newly appointed director, Monique Lalonde.

Transat Agent@Home announced this week that Lalonde had come onboard as Director, Agent@Home for Transat Distribution Canada (TDC).

Reporting to Susan Bowman, Vice‐President – Marketing, Lalonde will oversee the development of TDC’s Agent@Home program, taking it to the next level “to make it the best outside sales agent program in Canada.”

Lalonde is a well-known face in the industry, with stints at Air Canada Vacations, as well we Discover the World Marketing, itravel2000 and Radisson Hotels.

“Monique is an accomplished executive with over 25 years’ experience in sales, account management, customer service and telemarketing. Most recently she was with Air Canada Vacations as General Manager, Sales, Ontario and National Accounts,” says Nathalie Boyer, General Manager, TDC.

Lalonde says TDC sees the home-based sector of the travel industry experiencing steady growth “and we are committed to delivering a best-in-class program in Canada.  With a strong reputable brand Transat Travel will continue to attract new IC’s to our industry and existing travel consultants to our network looking for a flexible work environment.”
