“Thereʻs also the free Summer Entertainment Shuttle. If youʻre visiting Myrtle Beach this summer and need a reliable way to get around, Coast RTA is offering a free Entertainment Shuttle with stops to major attractions, shopping centres and the beach until Labour Day Weekend. Families can easily hop on and off throughout the day between 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., enjoying a hassle-free experience.”

“Plus, Canadians looking for special golf offers in Myrtle Beach can find deals through programs like the Myrtle Beach Snowbird Golf Passport program. This program offers discounted rates and other benefits for golfers who frequently visit the area or are looking for value.

“Additionally, many resorts and golf courses offer packages that combine lodging and rounds of golf, sometimes including free rounds or other perks.

“When Canadian residents purchase a Myrtle Beach Snowbird Golf Passport, membership benefits include a special exchange rate for the Snowbird membership and discounted green fees at participating courses. Canadian members can also bring up to three guests to play at discounted rates.”

2. What can you tell us about Myrtle Beachʻs affinity for Canadian travellers, including CAN-AM Days?

“Myrtle Beach is a classic beach destination known for 100 km of shoreline, 14 unique communities, Southern hospitality and accessible travel from Ontario and Québec.

“Canadians have long been among our most loyal and passionate visitors. Myrtle Beach recognizes that Canadians have been travelling to ʻThe Beachʻ for decades and has a strong legacy of Canadian loyalty – generational return travellers.

“Myrtle Beach is a year-round getaway offering coastal beauty, vibrant food, cultural treasures, and unmatched hospitality – an ideal destination to reset, reconnect and feel at home.

“Myrtle Beachʻs CAN-AM Days offers Canadians discounts each year and many of these deals are available well beyond the celebratory week and can be redeemed through the valid dates listed for the individual offers. Each deal has specific stipulations such as proof of a valid Canadian ID.”

3. Myrtle Beach has historically been a very strong drive market from Canada, especially from Ontario and Quebec. For travellers opting to fly, do you have any lift news?

“While most flights across Canada are a connection to get to MYR, there are a few new direct flight options from U.S. border cities.

“Allegiant Air has begun offering three new nonstop flights between Myrtle Beach and airports in Plattsburgh, Niagara Falls and Grand Rapids. Breeze Airways also announced that it will offer nonstop flights between Myrtle Beach Int’l airport and Rochester starting October 2.

“Air Canada currently offers direct flights to Charleston, SC which is only a 1.5-hour drive to Myrtle Beach.

4. What hotel and attraction news does Myrtle Beach want to share?

“The newly rebranded and renovated Ellie Beach Resort is open! Part of the Tapestry by Hilton collection, this upscale resort offers spacious rooms, waterfront dining, and modern amenities. Itʻs located less than 10 minutes from Myrtle Beach International Airport and Market Common.

“The Sandcastle Resort completed a $34 million renovation and has reopened as voco The Shelby at Myrtle Beach by IHG. Sleek guestrooms and suites offer iconic ocean views, direct beach access, an outdoor pool with a lazy river, and a state-of-the-art fitness centre. Dining is at The Shelby Beach Club and The Shelby Bar & Cafe. The hotel is located steps from the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and SkyWheel, and a short drive from Myrtle Beach Airport and Myrtle Beach Sports Center. Pet-friendly accommodations are available.

“Coming in 2027, Compass Hotel by Margaritaville will open in North Myrtle Beach featuring 150 guestrooms, an indoor and outdoor pool experience, fitness centre, meeting space, a 5 o’clock Somewhere Bar & Grill, Provisions Grab & Go and a complimentary breakfast buffet. This property will bring a laid-back, boutique hotel vibe and a sense of paradise to the community with inspired rooms and thoughtful amenities.

“And coming soon! Ole Smoky Distillery and Yee-Haw Brewing Company will be opening a new joint brewery and distillery in spring 2026 to Broadway at the Beach. This project will include a beer garden, tasting rooms, distillery, guided tours and full F&B operations as well as even space to host concerts, private group events and festivals.”

5. What message do you want to send out to Canadian travel advisors right now?

“Our core message is ʻ100 kms Where You Belong.ʻ Weʻre a destination where Canadians are not just welcomed, they’re expected, appreciated and embraced. We are now emphasizing connection, authenticity, and comfort, offering Canadians ʻ100 kms Where You Belong.ʻ”
