Trafaglar serves up travel inspiration with ‘Midwinter Travel Tales’

TORONTO — Trafalgar’s ‘Midwinter Travel Tales’ celebrated all things travel and featured a presentation by Patricia Schultz, Trafalgar’s Global Ambassador, travel journalist and author of the bestselling travel guide, ‘1,000 Places to See Before You Die’.

The evening started with a reception and mini trade show with several of Trafalgar’s trade partners and event sponsors, including platinum sponsor The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, gold sponsors Air Canada Vacations and Air Canada and silver sponsors, Thailand, Ireland and IAC, Visual Communication Specialists.

The reception was followed a special Turkish whirling dervish presentation. Schultz then delivered and entertaining and informative presentation on 16 of her favourite travel spots, all of which are destinations to which Trafalgar has multiple tours.

Trafalgar offers 226 carefully crafted itinerary around the world, to 65 countries on six continents and with eight travel styles. The travel company has hosted more than five million guests over the years with a 97% satisfaction rate from real reviews.

Wolf Paunic, President, Trafalgar Canada, said Schultz was a great fit for Trafalgar and that Trafalgar’s guests look to experience the iconic, famous and must-see parts of the world, and to create a deeper and richer connection local people and placers.

He went on to add that 2018 is evolving as a great year for Canadian travel and that in hosting this event Trafalgar is looking to highlight some of its destinations and products to their guests and partners and to help their guests in making their decisions for future travel.

What’s selling well for Trafalgar? Paunic says Norway, Ireland and Thailand in particular are attracting huge interest from Trafalgar’s guests, and that Turkey seemed to be enjoying a resurgence after several difficult years as well. Turkey’s culture straddles two continents and offers a rich history back to before the Romans, creates compelling travel motivation for travellers, he added. He also noted that 2018 is ‘The Year of Troy’ in Turkey, another reason to visit this year.

Success with its Explorer series has led Trafalgar to introduce two new European destinations: Berlin and Madrid.
