You can sleep in a bubble under the stars in Texas

TERLINGUA — Living inside of a bubble isn’t necessarily a good thing, but staying in one under the stars can be a one-of-a-kind travel experience.

Basecamp Terlingua, which offers six luxury tipis in west Texas near Big Bend National Park, recently debuted its brand new bubble rooms as a unique way to enjoy Texan starry nights.

Considered the only Bubble Hotel in America, ‘Basecamp Bubbles’ are located in a private area with stunning views of the Chisos Mountains and minutes from restaurants, bars and more.

From their private bubble, guests enjoy a queen-size bed, full bathroom with shower, fridge, microwave, Kuerig coffee, inside seating and heating/AC. Outside, there’s additional seating around a private fire pit and a bonus outdoor shower.

Plus, with their transparent domed roofs and futuristic décor, they look super cool.

Basecamp Bubbles start at $189 per night. Guests can check availability at basecampterlingua.com and ‘chat’ with property managers online to ask any questions.
