VANCOUVER — Scenic Group Canada has announced the move of Senior Director of Sales Derek Legault into the dual role of Director of National Sales and BDM Southwestern Ontario – and it’s seeking a new GM Sales.
Due to continued strong sales growth, the company says it is looking to fill a new General Manager of Sales position, based out of the Vancouver office.

Scenic Group is the parent organization of Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours, Scenic Eclipse and Emerald Waterways.

Meanwhile the new GM Sales position is responsible for developing and managing all aspects of the Scenic and Emerald Waterways Canada sales operations. Senior sales management experience and leadership skills in team settings are among several expectations for candidates.
The position’s skills list includes but is not limited to retail and group channels of distribution; leverage existing trade relationships in furtherance of sales goals and brand awareness; mentor, support and manage field sales staff; consortium accounts and ROI initiatives; and development of travel agent tools and programs.
In 2019 Scenic is introducing the world’s first Discovery Yacht, the 228-guest Scenic Eclipse, and a sister ship to launch in 2020. Sister brand Emerald Waterways has seven Star-Ships offering European river sailings with an eighth (Emerald Harmony) launching in 2019 for SE Asia’s Mekong River. Exclusive charters are offered on SE Asia’s Irrawaddy River, the Volga River in Russia, yacht cruises out of Croatia and Egypt’s Nile River.
