Rocky Mountaineer to offer four new destinations in 2019

VANCOUVER — Four new destinations are riding their way to Rocky Mountaineer’s 2019 vacation package lineup, all of which can be explored by rental car, helicopter or on foot.

The new destinations – Canmore, Kananaskis, Sunshine Village and the Cariboo Mountains – will add to the excitement of a rail journey through Western Canada, says the company. They will be featured on the following vacation packages:

  • First Passage to the West Canmore Self-Drive: Canmore is an authentic mountain own located 20 minutes from Banff. On this seven-day package, guests will stay at the newly-built Malcolm Hotel in Canmore, enjoy four days with a rental car to explore the region, and spend two days onboard Rocky Mountaineer.
  • First Passage to the West Kananaskis Self-Drive: Located 45 minutes from Banff, Kananaskis is an ideal place to hike, mountain bike, ride horses, play golf and relax in the Nordic. This seven-day package includes two nights at Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, a four-day car rental, and two days onboard Rocky Mountaineer.
  • First Passage to the West Sunshine Village Self-Drive: Located within Banff National Park, Sunshine Village sits at an elevation of 7,200 feet and is known for its nature walks, gondola rides, biking trails and hot springs. This seven-day package features two nights at Sunshine Mountain Lodge, a four-day car rental and two days onboard Rocky Mountaineer.
  • Journey through the Clouds Mountain Adventures: This 10-day package features three nights at the CMH Cariboos Lodge, where guests arrive and depart via helicopter, two and a half days of guided heli-hiking, and two days onboard Rocky Mountaineer.

In celebration of these new packages, Rocky Mountaineer is offering its largest promotion of the year. With the Early Booking Bonus offer, clients can receive up to $1,000 in added value, per couple. This offer is available on qualifying 2019 packages of eight days or more, and runs until Aug. 31, 2018. Guests can apply the added value offer to additional hotel nights, sightseeing tours, Alaska cruises and more.

Moreover, guests can take advantage of a Free Hotel offer on qualifying vacation packages of five days or more and extend their trip to spend an extra night in Seattle, Vancouver or Calgary. This offer is available until June 29, 2018.
