Are the big players interested in buying smaller agencies? Well, it depends on who you ask.
TORONTO — Blue Monday – that’s today, Mon. Jan. 21 – is widely considered to be one of the gloomiest days of the year but Sunwing is looking to change all that with its Blue Monday Buster Sale.
A recent survey commissioned by Sunwing revealed that even just the act of planning a sunshine escape or remembering a favourite vacation can generate feelings of happiness and relieve day to day stresses. And Canadian travellers need that boost especially around this time of year, with the end of the holidays, frigid temperatures and a lack of sunlight negatively affecting peoples’ moods.
Through Jan. 25 Blue Monday Buster Sale is offering savings worth up to 40% on vacation packages to top-rated resorts across the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America.
In fact clients can trade in cold and snow for sun and sand and experience one of the company’s most anticipated new resorts: Royalton Cancun Resort and Spa, set open February 2019. The new property will offer All-In Luxury amenities and world-class service steps from the shops, restaurants and nightlife of the Cancun’s Hotel Zone. There’s also a rooftop Skyclub (a first for the hotel chain) which comprises an adults-only pool with panoramic ocean views, chic poolside cabanas and weekly themed parties.
Other properties taking part in the promotion include the recently-opened Grand Memories Punta Cana, which offers guests unlimited access to the on-site Splash Water Park, one of the largest resort water parks in the Caribbean, together with stylish rooms, varied dining experiences and daily entertainment.
Another popular resort included in the sale is Riu Ocho Rios, a AAA Three Diamond resort nestled on its own pristine white-sand beach.
In destination vacationers will also find a wide range of Sunwing Experiences to choose from, including a luxury catamaran tour to Isla Mujeres, or an off-road ATV excursion in Punta Cana. Travellers vacationing in Jamaica can visit one of the island’s most famous landmarks, Dunn’s River Falls.
