PALMA, SPAIN — Blau Hotels parent company Grupo Roxa is making good on expansion plans with a new resort in Costa Rica.

Grupo Roxa signed an agreement with Nyesa Valores Corporación for the deal, which also includes a new urban hotel in Moscow.

With Blau Hotels, Roxa has operated successfully in the hotel industry for over 30 years in Majorca, Spain as well as Cuba (with Blau Varadero Hotel) and the D.R. (Natura Park Beach Eco Resort & Spa).

The company says the new hotel announcement represents a starting point for the group’s expansion plan in the hospitality sector.

The 250-room resort is currently under construction in Puntarenas.
