The Cayman Islands has additional developments on the horizon including the late 2017 opening of the Margaritaville Grand Cayman Beach Resort. The 285-room ‘casual luxe’ design will feature an open-air lobby, swim-up bar, signature restaurants, designated kid zones and much more. A $360 million Ironwood development branded St. James Point, has also broken ground and will feature a resort hotel and an Arnold Palmer-designed golf course.

While plenty of new development is adding to Cayman’s accommodation offerings, the destination’s major hotels have all undergone dramatic upgrades and renovations. The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman recently renovated all 365 rooms and numerous public spaces plus added a new kids waterpark called Starfish Cay. The Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort unveiled its “beach house experience” including refreshed rooms and public spaces with a relaxed vibe. Programming includes unique wellness activities and amenities. Meanwhile, the Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa is currently undergoing dramatic renovations to be completed in 2017 including upgrades to all 344 rooms/suites, refreshed public spaces and much more. On Cayman Brac, the Cayman Brac Beach Resort added a new bar and lagoon-style oceanfront swimming pool and Le Soleil D’or, a boutique all-suite and villa hotel, offers a unique farm-to-table wellness experience.
