Sunwing adds three new sun destinations out of Fredericton

TORONTO — Sunwing is increasing its direct flight service to a total of four vacation destinations from Fredericton, NB this coming winter, adding Punta Cana, Cayo Coco and Cayo Santa Maria and bringing back Cancun.

To Punta Cana, new weekly flights will run Feb. 14 – May 9. Flights to Cayo Coco and Cayo Santa Maria, exclusively with Sunwing, will be available Feb. 13 – May 8. Meanwhile Sunwing is bringing back its Cancun service, with flights set to operate Feb. 12 – May 14.

“Saving vacationers time and money by offering flights from their local airport is of paramount importance to us so we’re pleased to be offering four different destinations from Fredericton this winter, including the addition of three of our most popular vacation hotspots, Punta Cana, Cayo Coco, and Cayo Santa Maria. Plus, we’re delighted to be bringing back the perennial favourite Mexican destination of Cancun,” said Sunwing’s President of Tour Operations, Andrew Dawson.

“The demand for all-inclusive vacations has grown continuously over the past few years, and it’s exciting to see Sunwing respond to this by adding even more choice for travellers in western and central New Brunswick,” added Johanne Gallant, President and CEO of the Fredericton International Airport Authority.

Sunwing’s accommodation options for the new routes include Punta Cana’s new Royalton Bavaro Resort & Spa, opening in early 2018. Also recently opened in Punta Cana is the adults-only Riu Republica. Another perennial favourite, Bavaro Princess All Suites Resort, offers everything from surfing to boogie boarding to catamaran rides.
