Charged: Kirstin Evensen and Black Tie Travel Ltd.

MISSISSAUGA — TICO has laid two charges again Kristin Evensen, who will appear in Toronto court on June 11.

Evensen has been charged with the following:

  • One count of holding herself out as being available to act as a travel agent without first being registered as a travel agent by the Registrar, contrary to section 4(1) of the said Act.
  • One count of being an Officer and Director of a corporation (Black Tie Travel Ltd.) and failing to take reasonable care to prevent the Corporation from committing an offence.

 

In addition, Black Tie Travel Ltd. was charged with acting or holding itself out as being available to act as a travel agent without first being registered as a travel agent by the Registrar, contrary to section 4(1) of the said Act.

Black Tie Travel Ltd. was previously registered with TICO but voluntarily terminated its registration on Oct. 31, 2018.
