Canadian Gateway launches program to 2014 Formula One Grand Prix In Sochi

TORONTO — The first Russian Formula One Grand Prix will be held Oct. 10-12, 2014 in Sochi.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has decided to simplify the visa process for those attending the Formula One Grand Prix. “Most foreign citizens need tourist visas to enter Russia, but those with F1 Grand Prix tickets will be able to use special ‘Formula One windows’ at Russian embassies and consulates in North America. Visitors to Sochi will be exempt from the need to provide confirmation of a hotel booking and will not have to wait in regular visa queues,” said Yury Manukhov, Director of Business Development for Canadian Gateway, and Representative of the Federal Agency for Tourism of the Russian Federation to Canada and The USA.

Canadian Gateway offers basic ground packages which include three-night accommodation, breakfast, dinner and race tickets, starting from Can$799. VIP packages (Gold & Platinum) are also available. The company also provides airfare, transfers and sightseeing services.

Furthermore, Russian Railways will provide free transfers by high-speed train between the airport, Sochi’s major districts and Grand Prix hotspots.

Visitors from all over the world are expected to attend the Formula One Russian Grand Prix. A 5.83-kilometre long circuit, located within Sochi’s impressive Olympic Park, promises to provide a spectacular setting for this year’s event.

Founded in 1986, Canadian Gateway is a Toronto-based travel wholesaler specializing in air consolidation and travel to Russia, Central & Eastern Europe. For more information, visit canadiangateway.com.
