Position Title: Reservations Supervisor – Africa Experts

Salary: $48,007 to $60,000 + commission, salary eligible for annual review

We are looking for motivated individuals who have a drive to succeed in a sales-driven environment to join the Africa specialist team.

Job Duties:

The Reservations Supervisor will support the sales agents on the floor with product knowledge and sales tools to attain monthly/quarterly/annual targets in addition to their own personal targets.

  • Responsible for meeting personal selling target including department specialization targets
  • Drive sales of our Air/land packages
  • Drive sales of our Adventure packages
  • Mentor team members to ensure they achieve their monthly/yearly FIT and Sched targets
  • Monitor enquiry levels by source, and conversion rates by staff, and report monthly.
  • Conduct training sessions related to new hires, company policies and company Health & Safety
  • Ensure department has a customer focused approach offering the highest level of service by resolving work related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports
  • Assist in implementation and maintenance of new technologies and computer systems to improve efficiency of overall operations.
  • Ability to communicate Company Goals and the “Goway Way” in a Win/Win manner.
  • In conjunction with product manager ensure staff are properly trained and partake in all relevant training sessions and quizzes.
  • Manage, coach and develop staff team members
  • Report on staff team performance, monthly per standard report form.
  • Identify opportunities and develop business in conjunction with Goway product, sales and marketing staff.
  • Collect and track results for all marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor and ensure follow up.
  • Requisition supplies and materials as needed for department

  Skills Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years travel industry experience with at least 3 years selling the respective Africa and the South Pacific regions as per the above descriptions
  • Solid knowledge of our specialist destinations including airline contracts
  • Proven sales track record
  • Advance GDS knowledge, preferably Amadeus
  • High level of “attention to detail”
