Nonstop lift to Jamaica will be available from gateways across Canada
TORONTO — This winter coast-to-coast departures from Vancouver to Halifax will provide Canadians more opportunities than ever to fly nonstop to Jamaica including, for the first time, a London (Ontario) to Montego Bay weekly departure.
New this season, Transat Tours Canada and Thomas Cook/Sunquest will introduce weekly departures from London beginning Dec. 21. WestJet Airlines/Vacations will introduce a new flight from Ottawa to Montego Bay in November, and also has added an extra weekly departure from Toronto.
Transat Tours Canada, Thomas Cook/Sunquest and Signature Vacations will collaborate to offer a new flight from Victoria with a stop in Regina, as well as new nonstop flights from Edmonton and Halifax.
“We have experienced tremendous support from our tour operator partners and travel professionals across Canada,” says Sandra Scott, Regional Director Canada, Jamaica Tourist Board. “We have been embraced by travel professionals across Canada as a destination of choice and their commitment to selling the destination has made an enormous impact on our ability to grow.”
Jamaica anticipates the strongest year ever from Canadian visitors as a result of the coast-to-coast service from the destination’s many travel partners. Already in 2009, Jamaica has had 210,669 Canadian visitors (as of Aug. 30).
