Vision Travel Solutions buys WD World Travel

VANCOUVER — Vision Travel Solutions has bought another travel agency, acquiring Vancouver-based WD World Travel from principals Robert Durant and Greg Wittig.

Located in Yaletown in downtown Vancouver, WD was established in 1992 by Durant and Wittig as an international corporate travel management agency. WD also operates Canada Travels, specializing in online travel deals. The company will operate as the Vancouver location of Vision Travel.

“We are excited to welcome the entire team at WD World Travel into our family,” said Vision Travel President, Brian Robertson.

“This acquisition will solidify our presence in the B.C. market and specifically in Vancouver.”

“We knew that Vision would be a great fit with their continued growth and global strategy,” said Durant. “Their personalized approach to travel is right in line with how we have done business for many years.”

Durant will continue as Managing Director, Western Canada for Vision Travel.
