TORONTO — CostSaver is celebrating Easter with a new 2018 Travel with Faith specialty program, offering six faith-based immersive experiences.

The company says each of the six pilgrimages are designed to provide a deeper and enriching understanding of spiritual communities, religious customs and tradition.

Trips are priced from $111 per day and include the must-see sights, says Wolf Paunic, President of CostSaver and Trafalgar Canada. “The Easter season ushers in a time of reflection and we have seen a heightened interest especially in our faith-based journeys that inspires Canadian clients to feel a renewed sense of faith and wonder through our enlightening travels,” says Paunic. “The 2018 travel trends have indicated that clients desire a sense of well-being and uplifting experiences and our CostSaver European pilgrimages are the perfect balance between seeing iconic sights and mindful moments while offering outstanding value.”

The 12-day Days of Devotion to Spain, France and Portugal includes Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia, the Sanctuary of Lourdes, the Grotto of Apparitions, Our Lady of Lourdes, Camino de Santiago, the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, the Serra d’Aire Mountains and the Shrine of Fátima.

Another 12-day option, Steps of St. Paul, re-traces the footsteps of the Apostle Paul. The tour starts in Athens with a full day excursion to Kavala, then heads to Thessalonkini for a visit to St. Demitrius Basilica where St. Paul was buried. Other highlights include Kalambaka and two of the remarkable monasteries at Meteora, perched on enormous rocks above the town. Then it’s on to Delphi, the Temple of Apollo and Corinth before embarking on a cruise to Mykonos and Kusadasi, Turkey with an excursion to Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary.
