LAKE BUENA VISTA — Picking up the momentum of the record-setting opening for the ‘Incredibles 2’ movie this past weekend, special ‘Summer is Incredible’ rates are available at all seven Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels.
Available for stays now through Sept. 3, the promotion gives guests the opportunity to take in all the new offerings at the Walt Disney World Resort this summer.
These include the new 11-acre Toy Story Land, opening June 30 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where guests will ‘shrink’ to the size of a toy to explore Andy’s backyard complete with new family coaster Slinky Dog Dash and Alien Swirling Saucers.
Other summer highlights include the Incredible Tomorrowland Expo where favourites Mrs. Incredible, Mr. Incredible and Frozone have taken over Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland to celebrate through Sept. 3.
The new ‘Incredibles 2’ movie opened this past weekend with a US$180 million take, breaking the opening weekend record for an animated sequel (set by ‘Finding Dory’ with $135 million in 2016).
At Epcot visitors can check out ‘The Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Live!’ concert series, through Aug. 19. Celebrations are also ongoing at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, marking its 20th anniversary this year.
There are also new venues at Disney Springs, now home to more than 130 establishments including shops, restaurants and live entertainment.
The seven Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels are within an easy walk to Disney Springs and also provide shuttle transportation every 30 minutes to all four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, two Disney water parks, and at night to the Disney Springs area.
Through Dec. 31 guests at the Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels, who have a stay at one of the hotels and theme park admission, are also able to link their hotel reservation on MyDisneyExperience.com, and with a linked, valid theme park ticket, these guests will have the ability to make FastPass+ selections up to 60 days prior to arrival.
