New flights to Cartagena, Santo Domingo with Transat this winter

MONTREAL — Transat’s flexible winter vacation options include direct flights to 35 sun destinations from 22 Canadian cities, more home and apartment rentals and Transat’s Experience Duo program combining stays in two places.

In total some 138 routes, including 12 new routes, will be available with Transat. Off the beaten track destinations include San Salvador from Montreal, Roatan from Quebec City and Cartagena, Managua and Santo Domingo from Toronto. Transat is also offering Los Cabos from Vancouver.

From Ottawa, Air Transat will offer a new flight to Cayo Coco in addition to two weekly flights to Punta Cana and Cancun.

From Calgary, service to Puerto Vallarta and Cancun will be available three times a week during peak season. Travellers from Edmonton will have access to four weekly flights to Cancun and three to Puerto Vallarta.

From Halifax, Air Transat will be operating three weekly flights to Punta Cana and two to Santa Clara, Varadero, Cancun and Orlando.

In addition to its all-inclusive and à la carte hotels, Transat says it now features more home and apartment rentals. “Be it for one week or several months, experiencing the local lifestyle and feeling at home when abroad is an idea that will appeal to many,” says the company.

Other discovery-oriented travel options include cruise packages in the Caribbean, allowing clients to explore countries like Cuba, Nicaragua and Costa Rica.
