NCL’s ‘Free at Sea’ deals include free specialty dining, shore excursions

MIAMI — Norwegian Cruise Line’s new ‘Free at Sea’ promotion comes with a choice of four added-value offers for Wave Season bookings: free unlimited beverages, free specialty dining, free shore excursions or free WiFi.

Free at Sea runs through April 10 and includes up to US$1,600 in freebies on new five-day or longer sailings.

Guests who book a suite or The Haven by Norwegian get all four free offers. A separate Free at Sea deal for Pride of America passengers applies to new seven-day inter-island Hawaii cruises booked more than 30 days prior and sailing through April 29, 2017 on Pride of America in any stateroom category. These passengers can choose from a free one-night pre-cruise hotel stay, a free Specialty Dining Package, free pre-paid gratuities for the first and second guest in the stateroom, or a free $50 per port shore excursion credits in up to four ports. Guests who book a suite aboard Pride of America will receive all four offers.

NCL’s Feel Free campaign includes television spots, online video, digital units and various social media activations, according to NCL. One social media initiative encourages use of the campaign’s #FeelFree hashtag by asking consumers to share their New Year’s resolutions for a chance to win a seven-day cruise with Norwegian. The extensive new global brand campaign taps into the line’s “fundamentals of freedom and flexibility,” says NCL.

“The concept of ‘Feel Free’ transcends the idea of traditional cruising and speaks to the experience that is uniquely offered and delivered aboard Norwegian ships: our promise that guests should be free to vacation on their terms,” said Meg Lee, Norwegian Cruise Line’s Senior Vice-President and Chief Marketing Officer.
