Long list of inclusions with American Queen Steamboat Co. sailings

TORONTO — A long list of inclusions is part and parcel with an American Queen Steamboat Company sailing.

The river cruise company says its all-inclusive cruises offer pre-cruise hotel night prior to embarkation; all meals, including 24-hour room service and alternative dining venues; snacks, specialty coffees, soft drinks and filtered water throughout the voyage; wine and beer with dinner; and shore excursions in each port of call.

There are also daily enrichment programs and nightly Broadway-caliber entertainment. “Our Riverlorians ensure that there is a deep understanding of each location we visit through daily sessions that highlight the history of the regions we visit. Our talented band of musicians and ensemble’s performances leave nothing to dismay. And all of the day’s festivities lead into late-night, solo performances that captivate the lounges onboard.”

Not only that, but AQSC’s regional cuisine finds passengers savouring dishes from pan-seared trout to gumbo to classic surf and turf – followed by dessert, of course – in a specialty or alternative dining venue.

During the day, AQSC’s shore excursions team takes care of all the details for both premium experiences and included hop-on, hop-off excursions. The hop-on, hop-off program gives guests the opportunity to choose from several different attractions and shops throughout each city or town. Premium experiences showcase culture and provide stimulating affairs. Says AQSC: “We invite our guests to take advantage of the all the opportunities provided for both interactive and introspective activities and experience a new place without the anxieties of the unknown.”

The company says it is proud to continue the tradition of overnight cruising on America’s rivers with its trademark level of service aboard its authentic paddlewheel riverboats.

AQSC has been operating river cruises since 2012 and currently sails three vessels: American Queen, American Duchess and American Empress. Joining the fleet in 2020 will be the American Countess.

AQSC sails the Mississippi, Ohio, Cumberland and Tennessee Rivers on American Queen and American Duchess. Clients can explore the Pacific Northwest on the American Empress.

Earlier this week American Queen Steamboat Company announced its new partnership with Cruise Strategies Ltd., geared to expanding the cruise line’s presence in Canada. Cruise Strategies, led by company president and CEO Vanessa Lee, will serve as the Canadian market representatives for both AQSC and Victory Cruise Lines. AQSC completed its acquisition of VCL in early 2019.
