Globus, Cosmos launch new 2020 North American itineraries

TORONTO — Effective immediately all North American tours for 2020 with Globus and Cosmos are open for sale.

Each company has announced new itineraries – some centred on special events – packed with convenience and caring attention to detail, say the two brands.

The new offerings include a new Globus tour, Quebec in Depth with the Gaspé Peninsula. Starting in Montreal but concentrating on historic villages, marine wildlife and farm-to-table dining, the tour also includes a whale-watching cruise.

Globus has brought back its Historic Cities of Eastern Canada tour, now with an optional add-on of VIA Rail’s The Ocean train from Montreal to Halifax.

Value brand Cosmos, known for its generous free time and ‘guaranteed share’ program for solo travellers, has also expanded its North American tours for 2020.

Additions comprise Western Canada with Inside Passage Cruise; the cities-and-deserts contrasts of the High Desert Discovery in the western U.S.; and Exploring the Eastern Seaboard.

Special events are a great excuse for a vacation, says Globus family of brands, and for many years Globus has sourced out some of the best and most popular, such as the Tournament of Roses and the Albuquerque Balloon Festival, to include in their tours.

For 2020 these special event tours have been increased to feature the 400th landing of the Mayflower on a tour to Cape Cod and the Islands (which includes a five night stay in Cape Cod); the experience of the Jasper Dark Sky Festival on a Canadian Rockies Adventure; and a celebration of winter on an Eastern Canada Adventure.

“There are so many advantages of being part of an escorted tour in North America,” says Stéphanie Bishop, Managing Director for the Globus family of brands in Canada. “We make the most of every day with pre-paid admissions to many key attractions, taking care of the driving so you can enjoy the scenery, and we give you the opportunity to do it all in the company of newfound friends from around the world.” She notes that the tours are also popular with British and Australian travellers, among others.

Clients can save 10% on any Globus 2020 North American tour when they book by Dec. 2, 2019, and $50 off any Cosmos 2020 North American tour when they book by Oct. 22. Young travellers save a further 10% off the land portion off all Cosmos tours, regardless of date of booking. With Cosmos, the age range for young travellers is 8 to 17 at date of departure. Travellers under 8 years of age are not permitted.
