Florida Keys and Key West debut value-added ‘ValuCation’ promotion

FLORIDA KEYS — The Florida Keys tourism council has launched a value-added ValueCation program for travellers to the Florida Keys & Key West.

ValuCation, valid now through Oct. 21, includes offerings of value-added hotel and bed and breakfast stays, complimentary visits to Keys signature attractions for children and adults, and special offers on popular activities such as sportfishing, snorkel, scuba and sunset sailing trips.

Travellers can access and download ValuCation offers, available from businesses throughout the 200-kilometre-long island chain that includes Key Largo, Islamorada, Marathon, the Lower Keys and Key West, at fla-keys.com/ValuCation.

Specials include those for accommodations, attractions, bars and restaurants, services, retail items, fishing, diving, watersports and entertainment.

The Florida Keys was hit hard by Hurricane Irma in fall 2017 but rebounded relatively quickly. The island chain re-opened to visitors on Oct. 1, 2017, just three weeks after Hurricane Irma passed through, and over the past 10 months hotels and attractions in the area have let the industry know they’re back in business.
