Cunard sailing full steam ahead towards 2018 with robust voyage program

VALENCIA, Calif. — Cunard has unveiled its 2018 voyage program, featuring complimentary amenities, special event sailings and a jam-packed lineup of itineraries onboard the line’s Queen Elizabeth, Queen victoria and the newly-remastered Queen Mary 2.

“On behalf of Cunard, we are proud to announce the robust 2018 Voyage Programme, comprised of exciting special event cruises and both iconic and intriguing destinations” said Richard Meadows, President, Cunard North America. “We continue to connect our guests to new destinations while delivering Cunard’s quintessential experience of luxury on a grand scale.”

As a benefit of booking early, Cunard is offering a complimentary drink package and pre-paid gratuities in Princess and Queen Grill Suites, as well as up to US$250 Onboard Credit per stateroom for guests who book by June 30, 2017.

In addition, Grill guests enjoy the storied enclave of the award-wining Princess Grill and Queens Grill restaurants, a club-like, single-seating dining experience known for serving world-class cuisine, showcasing flavours from around the globe, and featuring an extensive a la carte menu and “order off the menu” options.

Guests booked in a Balcony stateroom will also receive an on board credit of up to $250 per stateroom, dependent on length of voyage.

Cunard’s 2018 program includes several highlights, including 22 seven-night Transatlantic Crossings with fares from $1,199 per person, double occupancy. The cruise line continues to be the only company to offer regular service across the Atlantic and the world’s only remaining true ocean liner experience, something it’s been doing since 1840.

In 2018, Cunard will also debut several maiden calls for its fleet, including: Rockland (United States), Sept IIes (Canada), Visby (Sweden), Riga (Latvia), Klaipeda (Lithuania), Bodo (Norway), Narvik (Norway), Hvar (Croatia), Puerto del Rosario (Spain), La Rochelle (France), Gijon (Spain), Taormina (Italy), Portree (United Kingdom), Donegal (Ireland), Haugesund (Norway), Propriano (Corsica), Portoroz (Slovenia) and Rijeka (Croatia).

Also in 2018, there will be 12 opportunities to sail roundtrip from New York on Queen Mary 2 to the Caribbean, New England and Canada or Europe when combined with a pair of Transatlantic Crossings.

As for special event sailings in 2018, Cunard has several that cater to a wide variety of tastes and preferences. The ‘Voyage du Vin’ sails from June 1-8 to Spain and Portugal onboard the Queen Victoria, and includes board lectures from wine experts like Will Lyons.

Photographers will love Cunard’s ‘A Photographic Journey to the Land of the Midnight Sun’ voyage, sailing July 1-13 to The Fjords. Guests on Queen Elizabeth’s Norwegian Voyage will learn professional tips from photography experts such as Ross Hoddinott, and take a trip to the Arctic Circle to photograph the stunning phenomenon of the midnight sun.

Also available are: ‘Big Band Ball’, which sails Aug. 24-28 to the Netherlands, ‘Transatlantic Fashion Week’, sailing Sept. 2-9, and ‘A Journey of Genealogy’, a collaboration with Ancestry.com that sails Nov. 4-11.
