Contiki’s first all-ages fam trip of 2019 heading to Budapest, Croatia

TORONTO — Contiki is hosting an open age trade fam trip for agents this year, to Budapest and Croatia.

Aimed at showcasing the best Contiki offers with both land and sea experiences in both countries, Contiki says it will host agents who have completed the mandatory short ‘snackable size’ training modules on its Contiki U e-learning training courses.

Beginning in Budapest on May 12 and ending in Split on May 18, Contiki’s first fam for 2019 will feature a week of “world class cities, stunning islands, amazing eats such as goulash and grappa, and swimming in the stunning Dalmatian Coast.”

Interested agents of all ages and regions are encouraged to apply as soon as possible, as space is limited.

To be eligible agents must have completed the mandatory Contiki U e-learning training courses, which include ‘Introduction to Contiki’, ‘Europe with Contiki’, ‘Identifying the Contiki Customer’, and ‘How to sell to millennials’.

To apply, agents will be required to tell Contiki in 100 words or more, how they plan to increase their Contiki sales after completing the FAM, and send their application form to sales@contiki.ca no later than March 16.

“We couldn’t be more excited to host agents around the world à la Contiki this year,” says Sheralyn Berry, President of Contiki Canada. “This particular FAM trip will showcase the best of Budapest and our Croatia sailing experiences. But more importantly, it will also show agents what Contiki is all about – which is people, experiences and of course, fun!”

The seven-day pre-summer trip starts off in Budapest where agents will learn the secrets of cooking the perfect goulash, before relaxing at one of Europe’s largest natural hot springs, the Szechenyi Baths. The Budapest visit ends with an evening dinner cruise on the Danube.

Over in Croatia agents can discover the magic of Plitvice Lakes National Park by wandering the footpaths between cascading waterfalls, forest pools and shining lakes in the natural setting of this UNESCO Heritage site. Then it’s over to the picturesque and ancient seaside city of Zadar to learn about the Roman Ruins and listen to the  famous ‘Sea Organ’ before continuing on to Split.

On arrival to Split, agents will board Contiki’s exclusive sailing yacht to begin three days of sailing around the Dalmatian coast with stops in local markets and free time in Mararska and Hvar.
