Coming to Mexico in 2019: Paradisus Playa Mujeres

PALMA DE MALLORCA — Meliá Hotels International has announced its fifth Paradisus-branded property in Mexico – Paradisus Playa Mujeres, coming in Q1 2019.

Located just off the coast of Cancun, just 35 minutes from Cancun International Airport, the luxury all-inclusive resort will boast 498 rooms, each with garden or beach views. All guestrooms will feature a minibar, LCD TV, high-speed Internet connection and a private balcony, plus amenities that include Royal Service (adults only) with private butlers and Family Concierge.

In addition, Paradisus Playa Mujeres will boast four swimming pools, six bars and seven restaurants serving a variety of international cuisines. Championing local culture, the resort will work with local farmers, artisans and chefs who will use local produce in each restaurant.

To celebrate the region’s cultural heritage, the lobby will feature a sculpture curated by local artists, a garden wall and mirrored water feature, as well as retail space. Upon arrival, guests will be invited to the Welcome Lounge where they’ll enjoy drinks and appetizers.

Other resort amenities include a motor lobby, arcade room, covered theatre, outdoor plaza for shows, coffee bar, juice bar, kids club, luxurious changing room facilities, four business centre stations, and a convention centre (ballroom) with a capacity for up to 1,500 people. There’ll also be the renowned YHI Spa featuring relaxation areas, two fitness centres and a comprehensive menu of luxe treatments and prestigious products.

As for nightlife, Paradisus Playa Mujeres will be within close proximity of Isla Mujeres, home to lively bars, restaurants and shops, not to mention a golf course designed by Australian professional golfer Greg Norman. For guests looking to discover the area further, the resort will also provide access to a private marine from where they can sail the Caribbean Sea.
