Collette debuts two new Exploration tours in Sri Lanka & Vietnam

MISSISSAUGA — Collette is venturing further afield with the launch of two new Exploration tours in 2017: ‘Exploring Sri Lanka’ and ‘Taste of Vietnam’.

With the 12-day ‘Exploring Sri Lanka’, guests will embark on a guided tour of the Pedro Tea Estate, visit the gilded Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy, relax at Bentota’s beachfront resort, and learn about elephant rehabilitation at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Other highlights include lunch at Sigiriya’s Rock Fortress, a stop at the 12th-century city of Polonnaruwa, and a city tour of Colombo with a local guide.

Tours start from Oct. 16, 2017 with rates starting at $4,949 per person, land only, double occupancy.

The 15-day ‘Taste of Vietnam’ is a “combination of historical wonders, majestic lands and deeply rich culture,” said Dan Sullivan Jr., president and CEO of Collette, who also served as one of the designers of the itinerary. Highlights include the Cu Chi Tunnels, a seafood feast aboard the luxury junk boat in Halong Bay, Thien Mu Pagoda (one of the oldest religious buildings in the country), and the UNESCO-listed My Son Sanctuary. Guests will also enjoy a walking tour in Hoi An, visit the mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc, and stop at a local residence in Ho Chi Minh City to learn about traditional way of life.

Tours run from May 11, 2017 with rates starting at $3,319 per person, land only, double occupancy.
