A. “During March Break and the summer months, we go the extra mile for our guests with complimentary evening activities. This also includes lobby engagement activities, like our robot ‘CT’, face painting and popcorn. Often one of our ‘Show Your Key and Save’ partners will join us and offer something interactive for our guests.”

Q. In recent years the Chelsea Hotel, Toronto went through a major refresh. Can you tell us the highlights?

A. “From 2013 to 2014 we renovated the lobby, two restaurants, meeting/function spaces, all balconies and the Club Lounge (27th floor). In 2015 and 2016 we refurbished all guestrooms in the south tower.”

Q. The Chelsea Hotel, Toronto is a magnet not just for leisure travellers, but for business travellers and convention-goers too. What is the hotel’s leisure/corporate split?

A. “Corporate travel/MICE is 20%. Leisure travel is 60%. Other (such as airlines) accounts for 20%. We offer an adult-only pool and fitness centre and that’s appealing to our corporate travellers. We also have a loyalty program, ‘1865’, which has its own check-in desk.”
