Carnival’s schedule of 150 ship tours includes one Canadian date

MIAMI — Carnival has announced its most “ambitious” product-education program featuring 150 ship tours across 24 ships, with one Canadian date scheduled this fall.

Canadian agents will get the chance to tour the Carnival Sunrise in Halifax on Oct. 11. Canadian agents can also check out Carnival ships on any of the U.S. dates. Registration for the event will be posted by Carnival eight weeks prior.

In addition to ship tours, Carnival will also be hosting nine Seminars at Sea so that agents can see firsthand the result of its US$2 billion Fleet Enhancement Program.

Hosted by Carnival business development managers, ship tours include tours of public spaces and staterooms, while Seminars at Sea are an immersive way for agents to sail and attend training sessions to enhance their knowledge while experiencing all activities and amenities like a guest. Travel agents sailing on a Seminar at Sea receive special casino, shore excursion and spa benefits.

“When travel advisors come on board, experience our product and see the investment we’ve put into our ships, it gets them excited to sell our brand and also helps them understand which clients are right for Carnival,” said Adolfo Perez, Carnival’s senior vice president of sales and trade marketing. “With the recent refurbishments and ‘ship shuffle,’ offering 150 tours across the fleet and nine familiarization cruises enables us to expose an incredible number of travel advisors to different ships, which will help them increase their Carnival bookings.”

Ship tours are free to travel agents, and lunch is included. Seminars at Sea feature special pricing.

Travel agents can register for a ship tour or Seminar at Sea by visiting GoCCL.com or contacting their Carnival BDM.
