APT adds new touring and cruise options to NZ, Australia program

VANCOUVER — Australian Pacific Touring (APT) has released its 2019/20 brochure with touring options at the Premier and Value-Plus levels and, new this year, Small Group Journeys.

Launched in conjunction with Qantas Vacations and Travel 2, the program comes with early bird booking savings worth up to $800 per couple on select tours booked by March 31, 2019.

Clients can take advantage of 5% discounts on deposit-only payments. Savings of up to 10% off are available for clients who book and pay in full at time of booking.

APT is also once again offering Solo traveller savings and features solo pricing for all tours in its brochure.

New this year are two new Luxury Small Group Journeys, a new travel style for New Zealand from APT. The specially curated tours have a maximum of 20 travellers with an unrushed pace and in-depth touring. They include a range of APT’s Signature Experiences and Freedom of Choice sightseeing.

Highlights range from an invitation to join locals at their Rotorua home for an authentic Maori dinner, to a twilight cruise to Waiheke Island for wine tasting, a vineyard tour and dinner overlooking the Auckland skyline, and a whale watching cruise in Kaikoura.

Authentic and unique properties available throughout each tour include the Marlborough Vintners Hotel, set in the heart of the famous Marlborough wine region. With only 16 suites, highlights include fine dining and exceptional wines. In Martinborough APT guests stay at the Peppers Parehua country estate where they can enjoy picnics in the vineyards or take out bicycles to explore the local area.

Agents can offer a choice of two new itineraries in this new travel format, both of which feature launch savings of up to $800 per couple valid until March 31, 2019.

The 13-day North Island Wonders travels from Auckland to Wellington and with the savings it’s priced from $6,645 per person, twin share.

Also on offer is the 12-day South Island Sensation journey from Wellington to Queenstown from $5,995 per person, twin share inclusive of the launch saving.

Also new, APT’s Value-Plus Kimberley Coast Cruise is a new travel style for Australia, taking passengers on a cruise around one of Australia’s most remote coastlines in 2019. The Essential 12-day Kimberley Coast Cruise sails from Darwin to Broome aboard Coral Expeditions I. With launch savings the cruise is priced from $8,695 per person, twin share and joins APT’s portfolio of Wilderness Adventure tours to Australia’s remote Kimberley region.
