AmaWaterways’ new brochure highlights new ships, activities & programs

CALABASAS, CA – Three new ships, over 60 wine cruises and a new program for golfers are all highlighted in AmaWaterways’ new 2019 Europe, Asia & Africa Extensive Brochure.

The brochure, available to download at AmaWaterawys.com, introduces the line’s “incredible new ships, amenities and programs in 2019”, which Kristin Karst, executive vice president and co-owner of AmaWaterways, says provide even more opportunities for guests to personalize their river cruise vacation. “All our teams onboard are wholeheartedly dedicated to the complete happiness of our guests and are committed to providing the most authentic and luxurious river cruise experience available today.

Here are a few brochure highlights:

NEW SHIPS

  • In 2019, AmaWaterways will add three ships to its European fleet: AmaDouro, AmaMagna and AmaMora
  • AmaMagna will begin sailing the Danube in May 2019, and is nearly twice the width of traditional European river cruise ships
  • AmaMagna also boasts more onboard amenities than ever before, including enhanced dining options, an expansive Zen Wellness Studio, and the Water Sports Platform where complimentary tours will be offered on the Sundowner vessel
  • AmaDouro will carry an intimate 102 guests and was specially designed to showcase the UNESCO-designated Douro River Valley
  • AmaMora will carry 156-guests on the Rhine River and is the sister ship to AmaLea and AmaKristina

NEW GOLF

  • AmaWaterways’ Concierge Golf Program, exclusive to AmaMagna, provides guests with the chance to golf at five of Europe’s most prestigious courses in Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic
  • With the program, guests will be transported from the ship by a private luxury Mercedes to the golf course
  • The Exclusive Concierge Golf Program is available on both the ‘Romantic Danube’ and ‘Melodies of the Danube’ itineraries from May to mid-October

NEW ACTIVITIES

  • The line’s popular Wellness Program will be expanded to feature on all European ships in 2019
  • Led by professionally trained Wellness Hosts, guests can join group exercise activities including morning stretches, core strengthening and resistance band workouts, all complemented by healthy eating options
  • In 2019 AmaWaterways will offer more than 60 hosted Wine Cruises that feature North American Wine Hosts
  • Wine Cruises include onboard wine tasting and discussions, plus specialty shore excursions to celebrated cellars and wineries – at no additional cost

NEW LAND PROGRAMS

  • New in 2019, the company will offer an optional pre-cruise land extension for every cruise, with new ways to explore cities like Amsterdam, Budapest, Lucerne, Munich, Zurich and Reykjavik
  • New, included excursions range from tours in historic cities to exploring the countryside of Romania
  • The company is also adding new pre-cruise extensions in Bilbao and san Sebastian, Spain prior to embarkation on its ‘Taste of Bordeaux’ itinerary, as well as a post-cruise option in Rwanda, Africa, which can be added to each of its five Zambezi Queen itineraries on the Chobe River
  • More shore excursions will be available to guests in 2019 as the company adds to its menu that already includes up to 20 complimentary options during a seven-night cruise
