AmaWaterways’ 2020 Preview Brochure filled with new itineraries & land extensions

CALABASAS — AmaWaterways has released its 2020 Preview Brochure featuring new river cruise offerings on its award-winning ships, including the new AmaMagna.

According to executive vice president and co-owner Kristin Karst, the river cruise industry continues to experience rapid growth and increased bookings, with AmaWaterways leading the way.

“As the industry continues to gain momentum, travellers of all ages are now facing more options than ever before, and we’re thrilled to lead the charge, offering new amenities and itineraries that we are confident will continue surpassing expectations,” she said. “We’re excited to invite guests onboard AmaWaterways in 2020, where they will find unparalleled service and a wide range of inclusive choices in dining, accommodations, tours and activities to truly personalize their river cruise vacation!”

Here are some highlights for 2020:

AmaMagna

A year after its launch, AmaMagna will expand its presence to the lower Danube on four select departures. The ship will cruise the seven-night ‘Gems of Southeast Europe’ itinerary between Budapest, Hungary and Gíurgiu, Romania, as well as the popular 14-night ‘Grand Danube Cruise’ between Vilshofen, Germany and Gíurgiu.

Measuring twice the width of a traditional European river cruise ship, the luxurious AmaMagna boasts four dining venues, the expansive Zen Wellness Studio, the Water Sports Platform complete with the Sundowner vessel, and suites that span 355 square feet or larger.

New Itineraries

In 2020, AmaWaterways will offer two new itineraries onboard AmaDante: the seven-night ‘Treasures of the Main & Rhine’ sailing from Nuremberg to Amsterdam; and the seven-night ‘Vineyards of the Rhine & Moselle’ onboard AmaDante from Amsterdam to Luxemburg, to which guests can add a two-night stay in Amsterdam.

To meet growing demand, AmaWaterways has also announced more than 70 hosted wine-themed cruises in 2020, two of which will be on the new ‘Treasures of the Main & Rhine’ itinerary.

New Land Extension

AmaWaterways will yet again enhance its pre- and post-cruise land extensions in 2020. Those onboard the ‘Gems of Southeast Europe’ and ‘Grand Danube’ itineraries, for example, will have the choice of a new three-night land extension in Istanbul as an alternative to a four-night land extension in Bucharest and Brasov. On the ‘Colors of Provence and Spain’ itinerary, a new three-night land extension in Nice, France will be offered as an alternative to a three-night land extension in Barcelona.

Early Booking Incentives

Travellers wishing to get the itinerary, ship, stateroom category, and departure date of their choice are encouraged to book their 2020 vacations now and receive savings on select cruises of up to $1,000 per stateroom, depending on the duration of the cruise. Guests can also receive savings up to $1,500 per stateroom on select European Wine Cruises. Returning guests enjoy additional savings.
