Air Canada flies daily to Scotland with new Glasgow flights

MONTREAL — Air Canada rouge’s new nonstop seasonal service to Glasgow out of Toronto is now operating three times weekly, offering travellers the only nonstop service between Toronto and Glasgow and complementing Air Canada rouge’s nonstop service to Edinburgh.

Flight AC1938 arrived at Glasgow Airport this morning. “We are pleased to add Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland and its cultural capital, to our growing international network. The new route is our second to Scotland and, taken together with our four-times weekly Edinburgh service, means Air Canada now flies daily to Scotland from Toronto,” said Benjamin Smith, President, Passenger Airlines, at Air Canada. “This provides customers the most options and best coverage of any airline in the Canada-Scotland market, with Air Canada operating the most seats and flying to the most destinations.”

Flights are operated on Air Canada rouge B767-300ERs offering Premium Rouge and economy cabins.  Flights depart Toronto Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays and return Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from Glasgow, with the service operating until Sept. 25.
