Any time a country or region imposes any sort of visa stipulation - even if it’s a waiver - the travel industry sighs a collective groan, knowing the obstacles and headaches to come.
TORONTO — The travel industry was out in full force last night to join Air Canada as it wished Duncan Bureau, now President, Air Canada Rouge, a heartfelt thank you and welcome John MacLeod to his new role as Vice President – Global Sales and Alliances.
MacLeod took over from Bureau last month when Bureau took up the reins at Air Canada Rouge. In his previous role MacLeod was Vice President Commercial Strategy.
Lucie Guillemette, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, and Craig Landry, Senior Vice President, Revenue Optimization were also front and centre at the buzzing travel industry reception, at Air Canada’s corporate offices at 2 Queen St. East in the heart of downtown Toronto.
Air Canada has launched 74 new routes since 2016 and increased capacity by more than 40% over the past three years.
