MONTEGO BAY — Sunset Resorts in Jamaica, with its trio of all-inclusive resorts including Sunset Beach Resort, Spa & Waterpark in Montego Bay, Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort, Spa & Conference Center in Ocho Rios and Sunset at the Palms Resort in Negril, is relaxing its cancellation policy during the current travel advisories to Jamaica.

Sunset Resorts properties are not affected whatsoever by this civil unrest, said the firm. The recent civil disruption is restricted to western Kingston, the capital of Jamaica which is about four hours away from any of the Sunset Resorts located in Montego Bay, Ocho Rios and Negril.

All three resorts are operating as usual.

Nevertheless, Sunset Resorts understand that the recent travel advisories from Canada, the U.S. and UK may cause guests to consider changing their travel plans. Sunset Resorts is offering the following options for guests through June 23, 2010:

For guests that are in house and opt to depart early, penalties will be waived and guests will receive a credit for travel up to one year for the number of nights interrupted. Guests with arrivals through June 23, 2010 have the option of rebooking without penalty for travel through Dec. 22, 2010.

For guests who opt to cancel their reservations, penalties will be waived and guests will receive a credit for travel up to one year for the number of nights originally booked. Sunset Resorts will guarantee the original rate, inclusive of discounts and value added items for re-booked reservations subject to availability and blackout dates.
