Westjet, you’re our favourite airline to sell and to fly … Your policies are incomparable to your competition, your crew are friendly and you’re very
good to agents. BUT, I’d like someone to go to the airport and get a bunch of sandwiches right off the plane and serve them to your executives…especially the meat on a bun. Yikes, it’s horrible.

You did the impossible. I want to let you all know that these blogs are read by the suppliers…Riu read my “beef”, “help Riu, we love you”..posted last week. Recap – I sold my clients on the Riu Palace Nassau – a group of 13 single rms. They then realized that the flight times for Sunwing wouldn’t work for them and we booked flights with Westjet groups and land only. Long story short, I had to book directly with Riu for no commission because Signature informed me that they don’t sell land only for Riu locations they fly to.

Riu we love you … HELP!!!

We all know by now that Canadian Travel Agents can only book Riu (well… to get paid commission) through Signature Vacations. Ok, I guess I thought that’s somewhat fair – except today, I changed my mind.

As a relatively frequent traveller, in and out of Canada, I stay at a number of different hotels both private and mainstream. While the promotion of Green practices has certainly been stepped up over the years, the actual practice seems to be diminishing. Now that everyone has ‘done their bit’ and registered on various ‘we are green—we support the environment” web sites and directories, it seems that they have fallen into a green comfort zone.

So several women wearing niqabs are allowed to board a flight without showing their faces. I wonder what would happen if I tried to board an international flight with a balaclava on. Would they board me? I realize this is a religious thing, but what about our safety?
