Sydney is the host for Tourism Australia’s 2011 Tourism Exchange. ATE is the largest travel trade event in the Southern Hemisphere and Australia’s premier event for travel buyers and sellers. This year’s event attracted 600 buyers from around the world to view products by nearly 1700 sellers offering the highest quality tourism products on offer in Australia.

I am excited about today’s journey. Heritage listed Kakadu National Park is Australia’s largest national park spreading over 20,000 square kilometres. Aborigines have been living here for tens of thousands of years with it’s history lavishly recorded on the walls of sheltering rock caverns and in the countless artifacts that archaeologists now discover.

This morning I enjoyed my last breathtaking views of this beautiful Harbour from my room at Sydney’s Intercontinental before I made my way to Terminal 3 to catch up with the rest of my group. Checking-in and security in the domestic terminal was rather stress free and was a delightful change to some other airports I have gone through in recent times.
