I recently travelled to Egypt and I am back to tell you it is safe and ready for tourists. The locals were all smiles every time they saw us or other travellers ready to spend money. We arrived in Cairo 1 day prior to the start of our tour with Intrepid. You can arrange an arrival transfer or just take a taxi from the airport. Be sure to negotiate the rate for the taxi before accepting the ride as only the new ones have meters in them.

This morning I enjoyed my last breathtaking views of this beautiful Harbour from my room at Sydney’s Intercontinental before I made my way to Terminal 3 to catch up with the rest of my group. Checking-in and security in the domestic terminal was rather stress free and was a delightful change to some other airports I have gone through in recent times.
