The energy of Cuba

There is a distinct energy in Cuba these days that is nearly impossible to escape. The country is in the midst of a monumental change that has the people buzzing and streets singing louder than ever before. Influxes of travelers are coming to see Cuba before the big change and the Cuban people are enjoying a tourist boom unlike anything in recent history.

While the streets of Havana are forever alive, this energy is being felt far beyond the cobbled capital city. The shores of Varadero, sultry streets of Cienfuegos, and colorful laneways of Trinidad are buzzing with Cuban music, dance and, of course, cigars.

Intrepid Travel recently conducted an experiential learning trip to Cuba with Ryerson University. While on the trip, Intrepid’s PR Manager Michael Sadowski, captured these amazing shots.
