In a country famed for its beer and chocolate, are there other things to eat while in this European nation? Although many would argue beer and chocolate can easily make up a diet, there are more than enough options for dining in a country that has a wealth of options.

Belgian cuisine takes its cue from the influences of its French and Dutch neighbours, and there are plenty of local tastes to make any traveller please their palate on a daily basis with these choices:

Cheese: Like its neighbour France, Belgium has a love for fromage and produces several of its own tasty varieties. As a welcome option for a post-dinner treat, the cheese cart is a regular staple in many restaurants and a definite welcome indulgence.
