Throughout Canada, Enterprise Holdings has a network of nearly 700 fully staffed airport and neighborhood locations, 80,000 vehicles and more than 5,000 employees. In addition, Car Share, Truck Rental and Fleet Management are also available.”

2. It looks like Enterprise Holdings is continuing to grow internationally. Can you tell us more about your global expansion?

Carr: “Today Enterprise Holdings operates in more than 70 countries and territories, and we are the largest car rental company in the world as measured by revenue, fleet and employees.  Enterprise Holdings and its affiliate Fleet Management accounted for $19.4 billion in revenue, employed 91,000 employees and operated 1.7 million vehicles throughout the world in fiscal year 2015.

“Globally, our brands continue to differentiate themselves. In Europe and China, Enterprise is ranked as the second most preferred car rental brand. In fact, with its partner eHi, Enterprise operates in 100 major cities in China and plans to continue expanding into additional urban markets across the country.

“By the end of 2015, we plan to launch service in Australia, and in early 2016 – in New Zealand and other parts of the Asia-Pacific region.”

3. What kind of rewards can frequent business travellers expect from National Car Rental?

Carr: “Now in its ninth year, ‘Rent Rent Reward’ is our way of saying thank you to our loyal customers.  Rent Rent Reward is our annual promotion that offers renters one free base rental day for every two qualifying rentals for registered Emerald Club members. This year we took it even further by adding the option to earn bonus points when renting in Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, plus a slew of other bonus points through other offers such as downloading our mobile app. Our priority is to ensure a rewarding rental experience, and Rent Rent Reward is a great example of our customer commitment.”

4. Enterprise Holdings has created an app for business travellers. What are a few highlights of this app and how can it help the business traveller in your life?

Carr: “National Car Rental offers a mobile app that helps time-sensitive business travellers save time and be more productive on the road. We know from our research that efficiency is the top priority for business professionals and our app helps streamline the services we offer. If you’re a National Car Rental Emerald Club member, the app can track all of your reservations, allows you to choose your rental virtually before arriving at the rental facility, offers a rental locator and displays any discounts available. The app can be downloaded on Apple and Android devices. Oh, and it’s free!”

5. What are Enterprise Holdings’ brands doing to appeal to travel agents and travel buyers?

Carr: “Cash-In Club is available through all three of our rental brands. The program offers travel agents the opportunity to receive competitive rates and quality rental vehicles for their clients, while rewarding agents for their long-term business. They can earn points on Enterprise, National and Alamo rentals in Canada or the U.S. There are no minimum days, and one point is awarded per day up to 14 days on qualified rentals. We want our valued members to reward themselves by redeeming their points in a way that is meaningful to them. Agents receive Visa Prepaid Cards with their points converted into a comparable dollar amount.”
