Deal with them in the way they want to deal with you, be it phone, Skype, email or in person. This doesn’t mean that they don’t want or need hand holding: driving their docs to their home, if possible, will likely score points. Wishing them bon voyage the day before travel and asking if there’s anything more you can do for them: ditto. Ensure fresh flowers greet them in their hotel room and remind them you are there for them if anything goes awry.
