TORONTO — Sunwing is introducing, what it calls, the ultimate in price drop protection for winter 2011/12 vacations – the Unlimited Price Protection (UPP) program.

Clients booking their winter getaway with Sunwing between Tuesday Aug. 23 and Friday Sept. 30 will get the difference if they see the price of the identical Sunwing vacation available at a lower price.

The UPP plan has no maximum limit on the price protection and no administration fees to pay.

“With Sunwing’s UPP program, you get the best of both worlds and you can book with confidence,” said Daryl McWilliams VP Sales & Marketing. “Our travel agent partners will be happy too as we will protect amount of the commission they earned on the original booking.”

Clients booked with Sunwing simply enter their information to enroll in the program and are then able to make a one-time claim at any time up to 21 days before departure, providing that the identical vacation is available at the time they make their claim.

The Unlimited Price Protection applies to any Sunwing vacation package which includes flights on Sunwing Airlines, irrespective of the hotel or resort chosen.

“Even though we’ve seen a marked increase in the number of Canadians who have booked their winter vacation early, there’s still a good chance that your first choice of resort, flight and dates will still be available. However, some vacationers are still hesitant to book due to worries that the price of their vacation may be reduced during the upcoming fall months.

UPP is available from 31 Canadian gateway cities on holidays departing from Dec. 15 April 30 inclusive.

Claims will be honoured with ‘Sunwing Dollars’ which can be applied to a future Sunwing vacation package to the sun or Sunwing’s summer 2012 European program. Some terms and conditions apply, full information is available on www.Sunwing.ca.
