Scenic Eclipse to sail Caribbean and Central America following launch

VANCOUVER — Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours has announced two new itineraries for its newest ship, Scenic Eclipse.

The 13-day ‘Taste of the Caribbean’ sails from Oct. 8-20, 2019 and features stops in Long Island, Guanaja Island in Honduras, and Half Moon Caye. The voyage departs from Nassau, Bahamas and disembarks in Miami. Fully-inclusive fares start at $10,275 per person, double.

Also new is the 11-day ‘Colombia & Panama’ itinerary, departing Miami on Oct. 20, 2019. After a fun stop in Key West, passengers will head to Belize City, Roatan Island, Isla de Providencia in Colombia, Costa Rica’s Puerto Limón and the San Blas Islands before disembarking in Cartagena. Fully-inclusive prices start at $11,345.

Scenic Eclipse launches on Aug. 15 and will spend six weeks sailing along the North American east coast. Considered the world’s first ‘Discovery Yacht’, this Polar Class 6 ship boasts 114 all-verandah suites, 10 dining options, a 5,920 square-foot spa with a gym and separate yoga and Pilates studio, two 6-guest helicopters and one 6-guest submarine capable of depths of nearly 1,000 feet. There’s also a 240-seat theatre for entertainment and lectures, indoor and outdoor plunge pools, butler service for all guests and an almost 1:1 guest-to-staff ratio.

The fully-inclusive fares include everything from gratuities to premium liquor and wines. The only additional costs to guests are excursions in helicopters, submarine, scuba diving and spa services.
