Trafalgar launches 2020 Africa program with 11 itineraries

TORONTO — Trafalgar has launched its new 2020 Africa program, featuring 11 handcrafted trips to South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Egypt and Morocco.

After its highly successful launch last year Trafalgar says it has brought the program back with curated itineraries for guests, featuring experiences “that encapsulate the spirit of each place in a way that guests will feel the true soul of the continent.”

Africa holds particular significance for the company, as it’s the home to the Tollman family, owners of Trafalgar as part of The Travel Corporation.

“For me, it’s hard to describe in words what it is about Africa that penetrates ones spirit,” says Gavin Tollman, Trafalgar’s Global CEO. “As the #AgentsFirst brand, we want to ensure our agent partners can sell with confidence that Trafalgar is the right choice for clients. The level of personalization and family love we have put into these trips is unmatchable, and we guarantee that guests will leave with an understanding and passion for Africa in the same that we feel.”

As part of the itineraries for 2020, guests will join Tollman family friend, Stefan, to ‘Connect with Locals’ on the 8-day ‘Cape Town Explorer’, and will also be treated to a Be My Guest traditional braai (barbeque).

On the 13-day ‘Namibia Adventure’ guests will dive into culture, and learn about the traditions of the OvaHimba tribe, considered to be the last semi-nomadic people of Namibia. Overnights will also include a ‘Stays with Stories’ at the 5-star Red Carnation Hotel, the Oyster Box.

Guests will also have the opportunity to make a difference – including a visit to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust on the 9-day ‘Wonders of Kenya’ to learn about the Orphans’ Project, providing hope for the future of Kenya’s threatened elephant and rhino populations.
