G Adventures cancels Sri Lanka trips up to and including April 30

TORONTO — Following the attacks in Sri Lanka on April 21 and as a result of elevated travel warnings G Adventures says it is cancelling all departures in the country up to and including April 30.

G Adventures clients have the option to transfer to an alternative tour, or to cancel their tour and receive a full refund.

The company says its next scheduled departure in Sri Lanka is June 23.

Travellers with tours in Sri Lanka booked beyond April 30 who wish to postpone their tour to a later date or alternative destination may do so with no change fees.

The number to call to rebook is 1-877-277-9854, or email experience@gadventures.com.

G Adventures has confirmed that all travellers on its tours and all G Adventures staff in the country are safe and accounted for. All trips have been rerouted to avoid Colombo and our groups have been advised to exercise caution.

G Adventures’ founder Bruce Poon Tip says any attack on religious institutions is an attack on everyone, regardless of faith. “We cannot allow this wave of division to further separate humanity. We must use this tragic loss to unite us. It’s my belief that compassion for all people, combined with an understanding of different backgrounds, religions and cultures, has the potential to be the fastest path to peace.”
